Luc Besson – Here He Comes

Kudos to this future Hollywood sci-fi film creator – Kaleb Lechowski impressively creates this 6 minute short film with a team of one: himself. I can’t wait to see the full featured film. Take a look at some of the comments posted:

“Astonishing graphics combine with a logical storyline and convincing audio…. they make a very compelling and rather brilliant short film. Well done to You.”

“Kaleb, you are a credit to film making. Congrats mate!”

“You did this by yourself in 7 months? That’s amazing, man.”

“Spielberg must hire you, man. Congratulations!!!”

And my comment:
“Whatch out Luc Besson.”

Killzone Intercept – Live Action Fan Film

As promised, here is that amazing fan made movie - Killzone Intercept – Live Action Fan Film . As I have said before, I really enjoy watching game based films, whether they are 15 minutes, or three hours. The latest Halo 4 craze led to the first Microsoft produced series “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn”. I felt that series was  a little short, but I really feel as though they are prepping us Halo fans with a full length feature film. Can’t wait for that.

Killzone Intercept is filmed in the sort of tint used in Saving Private Ryan trying to go for that full battlefield effect.  The costumes are just amazing and I swear this is a “real” world.

Happy New Year – I’m Back

imstillhereHey, I’m still here. Happy New Year. Hope everyone’s holidays were the best yet. I know – I haven’t posted since November 30th. To tell you the truth, I haven’t really had anything to talk about. A lot has gone on since my last post. Of course the big story was the Sandy Hook tragedy, and tragedy that was. I did read that the children returned to a different “refurbished” school last week, so I wish them all well. I know those lost will be grieved for years and years to come. I also read that the name “Sandy” will not be given to newborns for years to come. First Hurricane Sandy, then the school tragedy. My girlfriend’s name is Sandy by the way.

Other stuff – Well I got a gigantic monitor to replace my old 19 inch flat screens, however I had two Samsung Syncmaster 941‘s, and only got one new Asus VS247H-P 24-Inch Full-HD LED Monitor. It seems they were very much in demand this holiday season.  So I will have to get the other one replaced real soon. The picture quality on this Asus is amazing. Comparing it side by side to the Samsung, it’s truly a much welcomed and needed addition. Can’t wait to get the second one. Oh, and I got the Dual Monitor Stand desk clamp as well. As soon as the new Asus comes in, I’ll be setting that up. Then I get the whole top side of my desk back. Can’t wait!

So I’ll start posting again this week – I already have some really awesome videos to post. One is a Killzone 3 fan video which two years to film and edit.  It’s unbelievable. Looks like a pro Hollywood film.

Grand Theft Auto – The Short Film

About 10 years ago, I was an avid PC gamer. I spent hours upon hours playing titles like Alien vs. Predator, Kate Archer in No On Lives Forever, and of course Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto. I enjoyed tricking out my PC with the latest nVidia graphics card (anyone remember the nVidia GeForce4 Ti4600?) the best surround sound cards (Creative Audigy Platinum EX Sound Blaster) and benchmarking it all with 3DMar – comparing the results to other users online. The good ‘ol days

Last night after 3 hours of playing Black Ops 2, I went back in time, and fired up AVP, and a little of Max Payne. What’s cool is that I picked up right where I left off, because all the saved games are in “My Documents” which I have backed up since 95. I found my old game and just chose resume. AVP used to and still does scare the living crap out of me. Especially with my headphones on and in total darkness. And Max Payne and the “bullet time” – I could have played all night. Tron Legacy – 3D Graffiti Time-Lapse Mural

What we have here is an awesome video demonstrating the creation of a painted promo for Disney’s Tron: Legacy.

Filmed over a 4 day period and presented in time-lapse, Jim Vision spray painted on huge canvases for installation on Great Eastern Street. This colossal master-piece was created using nothing more than cans upon cans of aerosol spray paint, a ladder, and a fan!

The project was filmed in December 2010 and January 2011, in a warehouse in Shoreditch with the exterior shots taken from the rooftops of East London.

Check it out…
