There are those who stand and kiss the names
Of their loved ones on the wall
There are those who cry for their daughters
And sons who have taken the fall
And some still wait with hopeful thoughts
Until that soldier returns
And some still mourn for that loved one lost
Whose image in their hearts still burns
The wars have taken such drastic tolls
On the lives of kindred and kin
That faces still float on memories’ sea
And sadly we’ll not see again
But on that day when we walk to the gates
To see heavens most wonderful prize
We’ll cry no more but lay hold of hope
When we’ll see them again with our eyes
So know in your hearts all you Moms and Dads
That they did not die in vain
But they stood and fought for freedoms cause
And the cause is worth all the pain
I ordered some flowers for my girlfriend from Pro Flowers on Valentines Day. Never again. They are a SPAM factory! The order was easy, and the product was excellent, and the delivery was fast via FedEx. Then why never again you ask? Besides the SPAM? Because they send you 10 million status updates to start. …View full post

Just so happened to be checking out the video feed when I stumbled upon this film. To my surprise, it is the newest film by Dave Grohl. Not sure why, but the film is marked as private on Vimeo, and is not listed in the search results on the site. The embedded link appears to …View full post
An insanely funny commercial which is one of the many for the Superbowl. Samsung must have paid a mint. Trying to come up with a cool commercial idea for the Superbo… shhh, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd are great at keeping their faces straight for this conversation. YouTube determined that TubePress’s request did not contain …View full post
Kudos to this future Hollywood sci-fi film creator – Kaleb Lechowski impressively creates this 6 minute short film with a team of one: himself. I can’t wait to see the full featured film. Take a look at some of the comments posted: “Astonishing graphics combine with a logical storyline and convincing audio…. they make a …View full post
Hey, I’m still here. Happy New Year. Hope everyone’s holidays were the best yet. I know – I haven’t posted since November 30th. To tell you the truth, I haven’t really had anything to talk about. A lot has gone on since my last post. Of course the big story was the Sandy Hook tragedy, …View full post

This past weekend was the 10th anniversary of the Bamboozle festival. My girlfriend and I usually take the trek up to Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands. This year, as it was a special anniversary, it was held right on the beach in Asbury Park, NJ, and of course as there were conflicts in our schedules, we couldn’t make it.
This year’s lineup included three of my favorite bands. Incubus, Foo Fighters, and of course good ‘ol Jersey boys, Bon Jovi. From all the tweeting going on, I heard all three of those bands really did the crowd justice with their killer performances.
Another one of my newly favorites worked an after party. Skrillex absolutely killed it with his set at the after-party. Now again, I am not reporting this first-hand, only from all the tweets going on during all the performance. I remember 2011, they had some dude dj’ing that looked like Justin Bieber. He …

As you may or may not have heard, I recently was the lucky purchaser of a brand new 2012 Dodge Challenger. I am loving this car more and more every day, and she still has that new car smell. I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is about that smell and no one can replicate it – at least not that I know of. Is it just the smell of “new”. No I don’t think so. I think new sneakers smell purple grapey, and new computers and audio equipment have there own unique new smell. Ok, I’m getting off track.
Along with the car came a 260 watt stereo system which included SiriusXM. You receive a complimentary 1 year subscription along with that stereo from the dealer. As I was driving home I couldn’t figure out how to use it. You know, the channel lineup. With Sirius, you just start at channel 1 and go all the way up to the 800′s. It’s just like cable TV. There are some empty channel spots in between, but you get the point.
Now I’m cruising home, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to find the rock channels. I kept pressing forward button, but I must have been somewhere in the 600 region, because all I got was news, NASCAR, and

Been busy lately creating the sister site Christopher James dot net. Over there you can find some of my videos as well as some of my old ass original tunes. Don’t laugh, they are very old. Just something to poist until I get some newer originals up there. Check out “Sould”. It won a small runner up award!
Like recently I had to rewire the studio for the second damn time in 2 weeks, so I decides to video the before and after, then post it up. What a differnece the second time can make. Looks much better than it did, and I don’t see as many wires.
I also wanted to say Happy Mother’s day to all you Moms out there. I got my sweetheart a surprise and combined a random gift into a Mother’s Day gift – the timing was right. I got her an iPad2 along with a smart cover as well as some Apple funds for some cool apps. She loved it. She’s been wanting one for quite a long time – probably ever since I got mine back in October 2011. Those damn things are quite addictive, I might say!!!
Other than that, all is good, so far! Look for a new Video of the Week coming up real soon.

I read an article this morning which had pictures of “back in the day”. One of the pictures was a bunch of kids “car hopping”. If you are too young to know what that is: Car hopping was done in the snow. You would wait for a car going down the street, and run and hang on to it’s bumper and let it tow you down the snow filled road. Sort of like Marty McFly in Back to the Future, when he catches cars with his skateboard, and gets a tow home. So much fun, and yet so much “dangerous”.
If I caught my son doing that, I wouldn’t let him out in the snow until he was 18. It brought to mind some of the other things I used to do as a kid. Like walking to school which was almost 2 miles away. Cutting through people’s yards, going through the woods, and the baseball field, all the while dragging my coat on the ground that I was supposed to be wearing, since it “was 3 degrees outside. I remember one day walking to school, and I passed two guys coming out of a house with shotguns. They must have been going hunting, but since I was 11, I thought they had just shot the people who lived in that house, and were leaving for lunch. I didn’t know. I do know it scared the shit outta me so bad, I never went passed that house again. I changed my school walk route. Who knows, they “could” have just murdered the house owner.
I also remember riding my bike on the railroad tracks, sneaking off to the mall on the bus, walking across the creek over a two inch tree branch that got struck by lightening, and landed purposely across the water – 10 feet above the water. I did one time fall off that tree, and had a rock puncture my knee. Off to the hospital. I told my Dad I fell off my bike.
